DIVERSITY, INCLUSIVITY AND GENDER EQUALITY POLICY

LAST Technology (hereinafter “the Company”), strongly believes in the value of human resources, as an essential factor to achieve the highest service quality. The employees and collaborators represent the Company’s most invaluable asset thanks to their experience, passion and expertise. Because of this, we do our utmost to create a workplace everyone is proud to work in and to offer everyone, without distinction, opportunities for professional growth, as well as a stimulating and rewarding environment.

The Company has always rejected all forms of discrimination, starting from the hiring process, up to remuneration, access to training and promotions, guaranteeing freedom of expression and constantly working to break down prejudices and conscious or unconscious behaviours generally rooted in people (unconscious bias).

We strongly believe that the values of diversity and inclusivity – such as equal treatment of men and women – are fundamental to develop a diverse and fair working environment in which each single person has the opportunity to express and improve their talents.

In this perspective, in compliance with the principle of equality between all individuals, we promote behaviours and language that can guarantee an inclusive environment that welcomes freedom of expression and the valorisations of diversity. We reject any discrimination based on age, gender, sexual orientation, health status, ethnicity, nationality, political opinions and religious beliefs.

Through a common effort of all the team, we want to address inequalities in the company systems, policies and processes. The goal is to develop and maintain a culture of shared values and promote an “open-minded” policy that encourages dialogue and discussion among all team members in order to make decisions that take into account everyone’s opinions and suggestions, as well as the needs of the most vulnerable categories.

This policy is addressed to all of the Company’s stakeholders, associates, employees, suppliers and customers with the aim of becoming, in terms of social responsibility, a model to propose to the new generations, to partners and to the entire corporate environment.

We recognize ourselves as part of a broader socioeconomic system therefore we are convinced that only a shared commitment can lead to real progress. To this end, we spread the culture of inclusion and non-discrimination through information and educations, communicating transparently internally and externally, our desire to enhance diversity and pursue gender equality focusing also on the empowerment of women.

Gender Equality Policies

The Company is committed to concretely promote tangible changes in corporate policies and procedures, basing them on the centrality and dignity of people. These new standards promote equality, effective governance and responsible action along with inclusive communication.

In this framework, our Company works to achieve the goals of the UN Agenda 2030 and, in general, to comply with the inclusive policies of our country and the European Union. There are some especially significant objectives: goal 5 (Gender equality), goal 8 (Decent work and economic growth) and goal 10 (Reducing inequalities).

To this end, in reference to the issues of gender equality, we have adopted specific policies that we implement daily in the corporate context. They concern in particular the following issues:

  • Recruiting and hiring;
  • Career Management;
  • Wage equity;
  • Parenting;
  • Work-life balance;
  • Prevention of abuse and harassment.

 

  • Recruiting and Hiring

In the various phases of the recruiting process, all candidates are assessed and subsequently contractually classified exclusively on the basis of their experience, skills and competences, regardless of their gender. An impartial process, i.e. free from systemic prejudices, is guaranteed: the only guideline is the meritocratic criterion and the organizational position that the candidate will hold.

We ensure that people involved in hiring processes receive adequate training concerning inclusion and cognitive biases, such as gender inequality, which can negatively affect recruiting processes.

  • Career Management

The Company ensures equal professional growth and development opportunities for all employees, regardless of their gender, based exclusively on skills and professional levels. Consequently, the Company promotes corporate policies that favour equal opportunities throughout the entire career path of the team, starting from the selection process up to HR processes such as job placement, training, participation and career advancement. The principle of equity is pursued in corporate procedures ensuring impartiality and compliance with the sole meritocratic criterion.

  • Wage Equity

The Company encourages constant dialogue between managers and team members, creating development plans without any kind of gender discrimination with a meritocracy-based culture. The salary level and incentive systems are based of the assigned responsibilities, the achieved results and the quality of the professional contribution, taking into account the context and market references applicable for similar positions or similar roles in terms of responsibility and complexity. Therefore, employees are paid according to the principal of equal pay for work of equal value, any anomalies and remuneration disparities related to diversity are promptly addressed.

  • Parenting

We guarantee access to parental leave as well as childcare and caregiver options to every employee, without placing any obstacles to parenthood but supporting maternity and paternity. We are attentive to the needs of those who, due to their status related to parenthood, must balance their life between work and their new responsibilities.

  • Work-Life Balance

We are committed to ensure that each team member has the opportunity to balance their work responsibilities and their free time, considering the Company’s business objectives but also their psychological and physical well-being.

  • Abuse and harassment prevention

We ensure the prevention of sexual/verbal/psychological harassment in the workplace raising awareness on gender violence to guide everyone in their daily behaviours. No kind of violence and harassment is accepted in the workplace as it is contrary to the Company’s values and commitments.

 

OUR CONCRETE COMMITMENT

The Company implements and enhance individual responsibilities in order to reach the common shared goals. To this end, the Company created specific procedures to report any kind of anomalies or critical issues that might compromise the pursuit of inclusivity and gender equality.

In case of reports, we guarantee confidentiality regarding the reporter’s identity to prevent any form of retaliation, discrimination or penalization.

The Company has also equipped itself with a management system in order to monitor the effective implementation of D&I and Gender Equality policies as well as to record any form of violation of the Company’s Policies and procedures.

This policy is published on the Company’s website as well as communicated and shared within the organization, in the spirit of transparency and collaboration.
