{"id":5556,"date":"2025-12-18T10:01:56","date_gmt":"2025-12-18T09:01:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lasttechnology.it\/?page_id=5556"},"modified":"2025-12-18T10:06:24","modified_gmt":"2025-12-18T09:06:24","slug":"policy-against-harassment-sexually-inappropriate-conduct-and-bullying","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/lasttechnology.it\/en\/policy-against-harassment-sexually-inappropriate-conduct-and-bullying\/","title":{"rendered":"Policy Against Harassment, Sexually Inappropriate Conduct, and Bullying"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 class=\"s14\"><span class=\"s13\">Introduction<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"s16\"><span class=\"s15\">LAST<\/span><span class=\"s15\"> fosters an inclusive, respectful, and safe working environment in which every individual\u2014whether internal or external to the organization\u2014can freely express their identity and professionalism.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s16\"><span class=\"s15\">Inspired by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Company\u2019s Code of Ethics, this Policy sets forth the expected behaviors and the individual and collective responsibilities in preventing and addressing any form of harassment, sexually inappropriate conduct, or bullying.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s16\"><span class=\"s15\">Such behaviors undermine people\u2019s physical and psychological well-being, the internal climate, the quality of services, and the company\u2019s reputation. <\/span><span class=\"s15\">LAST<\/span><span class=\"s15\"> ensures support, protection, and attentive listening to anyone reporting incidents related to these issues, and expressly prohibits retaliatory actions against those who contribute to reporting or investigations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s16\"><span class=\"s15\">This Policy is subject to periodic review. Violations of its principles may result in disciplinary proceedings, with aggravating circumstances in cases of abuse of power by personnel in positions of hierarchical authority.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"s14\"><a name=\"_Toc215136389\"><\/a><span class=\"s13\">Scope of application<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"s16\"><span class=\"s15\">This Policy applies to all individuals working for <\/span><span class=\"s15\">LAST<\/span><span class=\"s15\">: employees, members of corporate bodies, agency workers, interns, trainees, and external collaborators.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s16\"><span class=\"s15\">The rules apply both within the physical workplace and in any context connected to professional activity: business trips, events, common areas (locker rooms, parking lots, break areas), use of social media, remote working, and all interactions attributable to the company.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s16\"><span class=\"s15\">Key external stakeholders are also informed of the Policy\u2019s contents. Reports concerning third parties will be subject to confidential investigation and, if necessary, specific actions.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"s14\"><a name=\"_Toc215136390\"><\/a><span class=\"s13\">Harassment<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"s16\"><span class=\"s15\">Harassment is defined as any verbal, non-verbal, psychological, or physical behavior that violates a person\u2019s dignity or creates a hostile, degrading, offensive, or intimidating environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s16\"><span class=\"s15\">Even a single incident is considered relevant if it causes discomfort, anxiety, or fear.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s16\"><span class=\"s15\">Common examples\u2014without claiming to be exhaustive\u2014include:<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"s18\"><span class=\"s17\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s15\">derogatory comments, humiliating jokes, ridicule or epithets;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"s18\"><span class=\"s17\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s15\">threats, intimidation, insults, defamation or circulation of harmful information;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"s18\"><span class=\"s17\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s15\">hostility towards personal characteristics (origin, age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, health conditions, disability, marital status, etc.);<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"s18\"><span class=\"s17\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s15\">aggressive behavior, limitations on freedom of expression;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"s18\"><span class=\"s17\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s15\">dissemination of inappropriate content via email, chat, or social networks.<\/span><\/div>\n<h3 class=\"s14\"><a name=\"_Toc215136391\"><\/a><span class=\"s13\">Sexually inappropriate behavior<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"s16\"><span class=\"s15\">This category includes all unwanted behaviors with sexual connotations, or based on a person&#8217;s gender, identity, or sexual orientation, which offend their dignity or harm the professional environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s16\"><span class=\"s15\">They are prohibited regardless of the role or gender of the parties involved.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s16\"><span class=\"s15\">Among the recurring behaviors (listed as an example):<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"s21\"><span class=\"s20\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s15\">observations or allusions about physical appearance or body parts;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"s21\"><span class=\"s20\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s15\">displaying or sharing sexually explicit or degrading material;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"s21\"><span class=\"s20\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s15\">insistent glances, winks or ambiguous attitudes;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"s21\"><span class=\"s20\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s15\">advances, pressure or requests of a sexual nature, even when accompanied by promises or threats related to one&#8217;s career;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"s21\"><span class=\"s20\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s15\">unwanted questions or confidences about your private or sexual life;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"s21\"><span class=\"s20\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s15\">sexually explicit gossip, messages, emails, or digital content;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"s21\"><span class=\"s20\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s15\">unwanted physical contact (hugs, massages, caresses, kisses);<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"s21\"><span class=\"s20\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s15\">hostile acts based on sexual stereotypes or prejudices.<\/span><\/div>\n<p class=\"s16\"><span class=\"s15\">LAST<\/span><span class=\"s15\"> bases its professional environment on skills and ethical behavior, not on physical or aesthetic characteristics.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"s14\"><a name=\"_Toc215136392\"><\/a><span class=\"s13\">Bullying<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"s16\"><span class=\"s15\">Bullying involves repeated and targeted actions aimed at hindering, isolating, intimidating, or discrediting a person in the performance of their work.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s16\"><span class=\"s15\">Such behaviors can make the person vulnerable, threatened, or humiliated, compromising their professional dignity and emotional well-being.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s16\"><span class=\"s15\">Among the most commonly encountered practices:<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"s21\"><span class=\"s20\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s15\">hostile or threatening behavior, even when perceived as such;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"s21\"><span class=\"s20\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s15\">yelling, public humiliation or personal attacks;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"s21\"><span class=\"s20\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s15\">dissemination of harmful or denigrating information;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"s21\"><span class=\"s20\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s15\">ridicule or belittling of skills;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"s21\"><span class=\"s20\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s15\">exclusion from communication or work activities;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"s21\"><span class=\"s20\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s15\">improper use of social media or chats to offend or isolate;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"s21\"><span class=\"s20\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s15\">abuse of hierarchical position to limit growth or training opportunities.<\/span><\/div>\n<p class=\"s16\"><span class=\"s15\">Legitimate professional feedback, constructive criticism, and proper performance management are excluded from this definition.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"s14\"><a name=\"_Toc215136393\"><\/a><span class=\"s13\">Prevention and corporate culture<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"s16\"><span class=\"s15\">LAST<\/span><span class=\"s15\"> promotes a work environment based on respect, inclusion, and equal dignity. <\/span><span class=\"s15\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span class=\"s15\">Prevention involves:<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"s21\"><span class=\"s20\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s15\">dissemination and constant communication of the Policy;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"s21\"><span class=\"s20\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s15\">awareness-raising initiatives;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"s21\"><span class=\"s20\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s15\">Dedicated training courses aimed at increasing awareness, interpersonal skills, and the ability to recognize and manage inappropriate behavior.<\/span><\/div>\n<h3 class=\"s14\"><a name=\"_Toc215136394\"><\/a><span class=\"s13\">Report Management<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"s16\"><span class=\"s15\">Anyone who experiences or witnesses incidents of harassment, sexually inappropriate behavior, or bullying can contact:<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"s21\"><span class=\"s20\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s15\">to the Human Resources and Organization Department through the HR Manager;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"s21\"><span class=\"s20\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s15\">to the whistleblowing system, according to company procedures.<\/span><\/div>\n<p class=\"s16\"><span class=\"s15\">Each report will be treated confidentially and will be investigated as necessary.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"s14\"><a name=\"_Toc215136395\"><\/a><span class=\"s13\">Disciplinary consequences<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"s16\"><span class=\"s15\">Violations of the Policy or applicable regulations will result in disciplinary action, commensurate with the seriousness of the conduct, and potentially up to and including dismissal.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"s14\"><a name=\"_Toc215136396\"><\/a><span class=\"s13\">Protection of whistleblowers<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"s16\"><span class=\"s15\">LAST<\/span><span class=\"s15\"> protects those who report in good faith, even anonymously, by guaranteeing:<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"s21\"><span class=\"s20\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s15\">confidentiality;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"s21\"><span class=\"s20\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s15\">absolute prohibition of any form of retaliation;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"s21\"><span class=\"s20\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s15\">timely handling of exposed situations.<\/span><\/div>\n<p class=\"s16\"><span class=\"s15\">Retaliatory or silence-inducing behaviors are themselves serious disciplinary violations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s16\"><span class=\"s15\">False reports submitted in bad faith will be subject to specific evaluation and, if necessary, disciplinary action.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"s14\"><a name=\"_Toc215136397\"><\/a><span class=\"s13\">Practical information<\/span><\/h3>\n<h4 class=\"s24\"><span class=\"s23\">When you feel like you&#8217;re a victim<\/span><\/h4>\n<p class=\"s16\"><span class=\"s15\">It is possible:<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"s21\"><span class=\"s20\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s15\">talk to the person directly about it, explaining the impact of the behavior and setting limits;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"s21\"><span class=\"s20\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s15\">contact your HR Manager;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"s21\"><span class=\"s20\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s15\">confide in a colleague or manager who can act as a mediator;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"s25\"><span class=\"s20\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s15\">submit a formal report through the whistleblowing system.<\/span><\/div>\n<h4 class=\"s24\"><span class=\"s23\">When you witness an episode<\/span><\/h4>\n<p class=\"s16\"><span class=\"s15\">Everyone is required to actively contribute to combating harassment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s16\"><span class=\"s15\">These are useful actions:<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"s21\"><span class=\"s20\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s15\">intervene to interrupt or divert the behavior;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"s21\"><span class=\"s20\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s15\">express dissent or call attention to the company&#8217;s ethical rules;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"s21\"><span class=\"s20\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"s15\">offer support to the person involved, even through simple contact or listening;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"s21\"><span
